Addressing his colleagues at Mantralaya, the senior politician said, “Our state scripted a record vis-à-vis wheat procurement. Similarly, paddy purchase was also historic. However, deaths caused by illicit liquor in Morena are a matter of grief. The crackdown against the mafia will continue unabated. I shall consider the transfer policy, which will be made more rational. Efforts shall be made to implement a transparent system on humanitarian and administrative grounds. Employment fairs are to be conducted on Wednesday.”

Addressing divisional commissioners, inspectors general, collectors, police superintendents and excise officers via videoconferencing; the senior politician was officially quoted as saying, “Under no circumstances should incidents such as sale of hooch – which snuffed out lives in Ujjain and Morena districts – recur. Government functionaries will be rewarded for good performance. Information and intelligence systems of every district must be further developed plus strengthened. Awareness level ought to be raised among the masses. Joint teams of Police, Food and Drug Administration, Revenue and Excise departments should work ceaselessly in a well-planned manner.”
The meeting was informed that the Excise Policy requires amendment.

“A sum of Rs 5,000 crore has been disbursed to cultivators and 90 per cent of the crop transported. The remainder payment should be made at the earliest and milling executed as soon as possible,” the senior politician averred during a review meeting at Mantralaya.
see more.. 20 Jan 2021 | 2:21 AMBhopal, Jan 19 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday emphasised on expansion of irrigation facilities and timely completion of related projects while assuring that there will be no financial constraint whatsoever, it was officially learnt.
The senior politician was reviewing schemes being implemented by the Narmada Valley Development Authority. The projected watering capacity is 39.41 lakh hectares. Work of five projects namely the Ujjain-Dewas pipeline, Narmada-Malwa Gambhir Link, Harsud, Upper Beda Right Bank Canal and Omkareshwar Canal Phase-4 was completed in 2020. Action is underway with regard to inviting tenders for ten projects envisaging expenditure of Rs 22,081 crore. Sixteen projects are heading towards completion. As much as 225 MW is proposed to be generated.
