J&K marching towards revolution in sports sector

Jammu, Oct 5 (UNI) With establishment of 22 indoor multi-purpose halls in all 20 districts and construction of 40 state-of-the-art sports grounds to host national level tournaments besides 38 Khelo-India Centers in various disciplines and work on 948 infrastructure projects is underway, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is marching towards revolution in the sports sector.
The official spokesman as a performance report being issued by the administration under the title ‘Progressing J&K’ on Wednesday said that the growing sports culture is reflected in the remarkable revolution happening across Jammu and Kashmir in different sports disciplines.
“Remarkably, the UT Government is making dedicated efforts to develop sports infrastructure and engage more youth in sports activities to realize the vision of making J&K- a power house of sporting talent,” said the official.
