Srinagar, Feb 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir mainstream political parties and moderate Hurriyat Conference (HC) on Thursday welcomed the Director General of Military Operation (DGMO) level talks between India and Pakistan and said the measure will go a long way towards sustainable peace between the two neighbouring countries .
Those who welcomed the joint statement of India and Pakistan included two former Chief Ministers Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.
The National Conference (NC) president and Member of Parliament (MP) from Srinagar Dr Abdullah welcomed the agreement between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan armies to observe ceasefire alongside Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB).
