J&K Guv inaugurates All India Inter-University Roll Ball Tourney

Jammu, Jan 3 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Wednesday inaugurated the All India Inter University Roll Ball (Men&Women) Tournament here at the University of Jammu.
The Tournament has been organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education of the University in which 47 teams, comprising 23 Women and 24 Men teams from all over India, are participating in 5 day long Tournament.
Welcoming the participating teams, Governor observed that sports are extremely important for students, for their balanced personality development, and urged all students to take interest in sports.
The Governor expressed concern that not enough is being done to promote the sporting culture and extra-curricular activities in our schools, colleges and universities and urged that all educational institutions must develop sports infrastructure to encourage and enable students to play games.
He observed that indoor games can be played by students at their convenience, in early morning or late evening.
