J&K Guv emphasizes public welfare oriented governance

Srinagar, Sep 19 (UNI) Emphasizing the high responsibilities associated with the chair of Deputy Commissioners and District SSPs in maintaining law and order, delivering public welfare services and ensuring holistic development of the districts Governor Satya Pal Malik stressed ensuring efficient, transparent and accountable governance with utmost regard to public sentiments.
Governor was speaking after inaugurating a one-day conference of Deputy Commissioners and District Senior Superintendents of Police at the S K International Conference Centre (SKICC), here on Wednesday.
Advisors to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, K Vijay Kumar and B B Vyas; BVR Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary; Dilbag Singh, DGP; Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to Governor, Administrative Secretaries of various government departments; Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu; senior police officers were present on the occasion.
