J&K Govt extends date for filing tax returns till Aug 31

Srinagar, Jul 28 (UNI) In a major relief to the trade and business community, the Jammu and Kashmir government has approved extension of filing of tax returns for the first quarter of the year from July 31 to August 31.
Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu said the initiative has been taken, in view of the persistent demand of the business community as they were finding it difficult to do so, due to the breakdown of internet services.
He said Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was keen that the relief in terms of extension of deadline for filing of tax returns must be provided to the trade and business community.
