J&K DGP stresses to ponder more welfare schemes

Jammu, Mar 27 (UNI) In order to discuss the working of police establishments and enhance more facilities for the cops and families of police martyrs, PHQ has started open discussions to revisit the existing welfare schemes and deliberate on to introduce more initiatives.
Chairing a joint meeting of State Level Executive and Managing Committees of Police Parivar here, Director General of Police, Dr S P Vaid while dwelling on the welfare initiatives taken in the recent years, to bring efficiency in the working of police establishments, said that our thrust had always remained to improve performance of all establishments including educational institutions.
He said "JKP was grappling with the daunting task of the welfare of police personnel, especially the martyrs’ families and we have embarked upon a massive programme to educate children and help women start their own income generating units."
