Srinagar, Jan 20 (UNI) Asserting that the new year has kicked-off on a positive note, Director General of J& K Police (DGP) said here on Monday that 2020 has started with a series of successful operations against militants in Kashmir valley and added that such action against ultras will be amplified many folds in the coming days.

Mr Singh said it can’t be ruled out that militants are planning to carry out attacks in the city ahead of Republic Day keeping in view the cache of arms and ammunition recovered by forces in Srinagar. However, he said security forces are fully prepared to counter any such attack.
