IUML NE expresses displeasure over Cong leaders statements on Bhoomi Pooja at Ayodhya

Malappuram, Aug 5 (UNI) Upsetting all political predictions which expected a hard-hitting resolution, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) came out with a single-sentence resolution at its National Executive meeting held on Wednesday by expressing dissatisfaction and displeasure over untimely statements and tweets by Congress leaders terming the Bhoomi Pooja and foundation stone laying ceremony for grand Ram Mandir at Ayodhya as a moment of unity and solidarity for the country.
The tweet made by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra terming the foundation stone laying and "bhoomi pooja" ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya earlier in the day as a moment of unity for the country had annoyed the League leadership which decided to convene a meeting of its National Executive today.
Samastha, a strong contingent of predominant Sunni faction in Kerala which has considerable representation in the Muslim League, has been hard hitting against the Congress for its favourable comments on the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ram Temple.
