Its too early to compare Hardik with Kapil Dev: Ganguly

Its too early to compare Hardik with Kapil Dev: Ganguly

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) Former India captain Sourav Ganguly believes that though Hardik Pandya is a brilliant player with both bat and ball and is currently in great shape but it would be premature to compare him with Kapil Dev at the moment. In an interaction with a news channel the former captain said, "it is too early to compare Pandya with Kapil Dev maybe from 10-15 years down the line we can talk about if Pandya keeps playing that long." Pandya who was adjudged man of the series played a pivotal role with both bat and ball in just concluded ODI series against Australia which the hosts won 4-1. Talking about skipper Virat Kohli, Ganguly said, "he (Kohli) has got qualities of being one of India’s great captains, there’s no doubt about it. But it will real test of character for the men in blue and skipper Kohli when they play in South Africa, England, Australia and the World Cup. There is no doubt that they will beat New Zealand and Sri Lanka in the coming home series. But I feel this side has the ability to do well overseas also," said Ganguly. UNI NC SHK 1819
