ITBP wins 10th National Ice Hockey championship in Gulmarg

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on Friday won the Ice Hockey Association of India (IHAI)'s 10th National Ice Hockey Championship trophy after a superb win over Ladakh UT team in the finals at Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir.
ITBP team took home the trophy after a thrilling win over Ladakh with the score line (goals) 5-1. The match was held at Gulmarg Ice Rink, Gulmarg Development Authority in Jammu and Kashmir. On behalf of ITBP Urgyan and Tashi scored two goals each while Punchuk scored one goal for Ladakh team.
At an altitude of 8,694 feet and the temperatures well below freezing point (minus 1 degree), the National Ice Hockey Championship ended today. Hundreds of spectators witnessed the finals.
