Itanagar witnesses protest during 48 hr bandh

Itanagar, Feb 22 (UNI) The State Capital on Friday, on day-two of the 48-hour bandh called by several organisations over the issue of granting permanent residential certificate (PRC) to non Arunachalees, witnessed protest here.
Near the Civil Secretariat here, the protestors resorted to stone pelting and burnt tyres on the road. To disperse the protestors, the security personnel lobbed tear gas shells.
As per reports several vehicles were also damaged besides setting ablaze. Heavy security forces have been deployed across the city.
