IT officials conduct raid at residence of Ex-MLA John Kumar

Puducherry, Nov 17(UNI) Income Tax Department Officials from Chennai conducted a raid for the second time at the residence of former Congress legislator John Kumar at Nellithoppe here today.
The team arrived at the residence of Mr Kumar around 0700 hours and locked all doors and gates and started their search which is still on at noon.
It may be noted that immediately after Mr.John Kumar resigned his MLA post to enable Chief Minister V Narayanasamy to contest and become a member of the territorial assembly, the Income Tax Team from Chennai conducted a raid and seized Rs.1.60 crore from his house.
