IT-ITe SSC launches Talent Acquisition Professionals Forum

Hyderabad, Aug 27 (UNI) : IT-ITeS Sector skills Counicl (SSC NASSCOM) in association with TalentSprint, India's leading Career Accelerator for Youth has launched " Talent Acquisition Professionals (TAP) Forum, an ambitious ationwide programme , for for IT-BPM industry here today.
Speaking on the occasion, NASSCOM Chairman Dr BVR Mohan Reddy stressed the critical role of Talent Acquisition Professionals in the success of organizations. There are over 30,000 Talent Acquisition Professionals in the IT-BPM Industry who play a critical role in the success of organizations.
He urged the industry to adopt the SSC recommendations for 10 per cent of their total recruitment this year.
SSC NASSCOM Executive Director Dr Sandhya Chintala said " with 10 million new college graduates entering the workforce every year, India has the potential to become the workforce of the world by 2020.
However, the key to ensuring availability of high level skill is by standarizing and certifying them, she said and adding that SSC NASSCOM Qualification packs (QP) are a solution that talent acquisition professionals can use to raise the quality of the talent pool in their organization".
TalentSprint Managing Director and CEO, Dr Santanu Paul said " We intend to create events and a virtual platform where Talent Acquisition Professionals can learn, celebrate and network with each other.
The intent is to inspire the TAP fraternity to become more strategically aligned and contribute significantly to organizational productivity, he added.
the next leg of the event will be held in Bangalore, followed by Chennai, pune and New Delhi, Dr Paul informed.
