Issue white paper on funds provided to J&K Govt under ‘Khelo India’ by Centre: J&K Olympic Assn

Jammu, July 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association on Thursday demanded issuance of white paper on enormous funds made available to the state by the Centre during the past three years for promotion of sports under ‘Khelo India’ and other schemes.
“We feel that the funds provided by the Centre do not match the sports infrastructure on ground in the state and as such we also demand immediate commencement of creating infrastructure for various sports activities,” Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary, J&K Olympic Association told reporters here this afternoon.
He said, “we are on opinion that sportspersons of national and international repute must be produced in the state for which infrastructure in the utmost requirement.”
