Jerusalem, May 9 (UNI) President of Israel Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday appreciated Haryana’s developmental strides and said that the Haryana was doing a wonderful job in every arena of development, starting from agriculture to industrialization.
Mr Rivlin also applauded the contribution of Haryana to the Indian Armed Forces and its contribution of grains to the Central food pool of India.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar called on Mr Rivlin at his residence in Jerusalem on Wednesday, official sources said. Haryana CM was received warmly by the President who had rushed back from a TV interview and took the time out to meet the Chief Minister.
Israeli President recalled his visit to Gharonda in Haryana in November 2017. The Chief Minister said that there were five Centres of Excellence (CEO) functional in Haryana with the support of Israel. Amongst them, there is centre of excellence for vegetables at Gharaunda, Bee keeping COE in Ramnagar in Kurukshrtra, COE for subtropical Fruits in Ladwa, COE for fruits in Mangyana in Sirsa. Two more COEs are being planned and these are for animal husbandry in Hisar and for floriculture in Jhajjar.
