New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Renowned economist Isher Judge Ahluwalia passed away here on Saturday after fighting a nearly a year-long battle with cancer, reports said.
The 74-year-old Padma Bhushan awardee was the wife of former deputy chairperson of Planning Commission (now NITI Ayog) Montek Singh Ahluwalia.
She held the post of chairperson of Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) for 15 years and had stepped down only last month due to her ill health.
