IREDA's Rs 1,716 cr tax-free bond issue opens tomorrow

New Delhi, Jan 7 (UNI) In order to raise funds for financing green energy projects, the IREDA today launched its Rs 1,716 crore tax-free bond issue.
The issue will open for subscription on January 8 and close on January 22, though it will have an option for early closure, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency said in a statement.
The bonds offer rates of 7.53 per cent, 7.74 per cent and 7.68 per cent across maturities of 10 years, 15 years and 20 years, respectively. The core issue size is Rs 1,000 crore with an option to retain over subscription up to Rs 1,716 crore.
The minimum application size for the issues is five bonds (Rs 5,000) (individually or collectively, across all series of bonds) and in the multiple of one bond thereafter, it added.
The statement further said the allotment shall be available in dematerialised form only.
