Iranian film 'Daughter' wins Golden Peacock at IFFI 2016

Panaji, Nov 28 (UNI) Iranian filmmaker Reza Mirkarimi's 'Daughter' won the prestigious Golden Peacock award in the Best Film category in a gala ceremony of 47th International Film Festival of India which concluded today.
'Daughter' is a family drama set in Southern Iran that tells the story of a young girl who leaves her hometown for a half-day trip to Tehran without permission of her strict father to attend a close friend's farewell party.
On her way back weather changes all she had planned.
'Daughter' had also won the best film award in Moscow International Film Festival earlier this year.
