Iran exported estimated 80mn barrels of crude oil during MoU

Tehran, Jul 16 (UNI) Iran had reportedly exported around 80 million barrels of crude oil during the short-lived ceasefire post the memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington on June 17, according to the spokesman for Iran's union of Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Products Exporters (OPEX).
The MoU which collapsed less than three weeks after massive tensions erupted between the US and Iran owing to disputes over the management of shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, resulted in renewed military escalation and the restoration of the US naval blockade targeting Iranian exports.
Washington's blockade is intended to hammer Iran's battered economy further by halting the Islamic Republic's oil and gas sales entirely. The US military said on Wednesday that it had already redirected the first vessel under the reimposed measures.
