Iran claims it foiled sabotage plots linked to Mossad

Tehran, May 10 (UNI) Iranian intelligence forces today claimed to have dismantled two covert cells affiliated with Israel’s Mossad spy agency operating in the northwestern province of West Azerbaijan.
Dubbed operation as "counterterrorism operation", intelligence officials said that one member of the cell was shot and killed during the operation, while the remaining suspects were detained before any attack could be executed, suggesting the cells were still in a preparatory phase at the time of the operation,, the Iranian state media reported.
The officials further claimed that cells were allegedly planning to "carry out attacks against sensitive facilities in the capital and assassinate high-profile Iranian officials".
