Iran backed theocratic militia claims responsibility for crash of US military refuelling aircraft in Iraq, CENTCOM denies claim

Baghdad/Washington, March 13 (UNI) A coalition of Iran-aligned militias known collectively as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) claimed on Friday that it had caused the crash of a US military refuelling aircraft in western Iraq.
While the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that four crew members were killed when a KC-135 Stratotanker crashed the previous day during operations in the region, they did not affirm the IRI's claims, while many US politicians have outrightly rejected it.
As per CENTCOM, the cause of the crash is currently under investigation, with the military further stressing that the aircraft was not brought down by hostile fire or friendly fire.
