IPROs should give accurate Covid info : Agrawal

Chandigarh, Apr 23 (UNI) Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister and Director General of Information, Public Relations and Languages department Dr Amit Agrawal said on Friday that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Information and Public Relations Officers (IPROs) should help foster positivity among the people of the state by giving them authentic and accurate information through the media.
He pointed out that they should make efforts to prevent the spread of misleading news by giving timely information of the steps taken by the State Government to help the people suffering from COVID-19.
He made these remarks at Chandigarh while presiding over a meeting of IPROs from all the districts of the state to review the arrangements being made by the department for the prevention of COVID-19 to help people overcome fear and alert those who are being careless during these challenging times.
