Internet, pre-paid mobile remain suspended, shops functioning in morning

Srinagar, Dec 4 (UNI) Pre-paid mobile and Internet service of all Cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) remained suspended as a precautionary measure in the Kashmir valley since August 5, when the Centre scrapped Article 370 and 35 A, besides dividing the state into two Union Territories (UTs).
Meanwhile, life remained affected during the second half of the day on Wednesday after shops and business establishments were functioning normally in the morning in the Kashmir valley, where political leaders , including three former Chief Ministers of Dr Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti besides ex-ministers and legislators who remained detained since August 5.
Large number of Central Paramilitary Forces (CPMF) remained deployed on streets despite sub zero temperature since morning to maintain law and order.
