International Theatre festival kicked off

Thrissur, Feb 20 (UNI) The 9th Edition of the International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK), conducted by the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, began in the cultural capital here today with an opening perforamnce " Lost wheels of Time"by a German-Israel collboration troupe.
The Nine-day performance which was inaugurated by Kerala Cultural Minister A K Balan before a massive audience, including many from foreign countries at the Bharat Murali open theatre here this evening.
With focus on street performances and public places, this year's festival will have 14 venues and 60 shows and literally the festival will be taken to the masses. In all, 16 International Theatre companies, eight Indian companies and seven Malayalam groups will perform at the festival.
