International Day of Radiology observed

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 8 (UNI) The Kerala Chapter of Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) and the KIMS Hospital jointly observed the sixth International Day of Radiology here today.
The International Day of Radiology is an annual event held with the aim of building greater awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care, and improving understanding of the vital role radiologists play in the healthcare continuum.
This year “Emergency radiology” has been chosen as the main theme of the day, to highlight the essential role that radiologists play in the emergency room, increasing the quality of care and treatment of patients, IRIA Central Coucil member Dr S Pradeep said.

Coronavirus death toll crosses 1,700-mark in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Oct 23 (UNI) Coronavirus death toll in Chhattisgarh has crossed 1700-mark. As many as 2450 fresh Coronavirus positive patients were found in the state during the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 172580 in the state on Friday. Meanwhile, 283 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovery.

Thane: History-sheeter held for impersonating, grabbing jewellery from people

Thane, Oct 23 (UNI) A 52-year-old history-sheeter has been arrested for allegedly grabbing people's jewellery by posing himself as the brother of one or the other political individual, police said here on Friday.
The accused has been identified as Vijay Tambe, who has a total of 19 offenses against his name.
