INPT’s road and rail blockade affects traffic on NH in Tripura

Agartala, Dec 10 (UNI) The traffic movement in Assam – Agartala national highway and train service to and from Agartala have been disrupted completely since this morning following blockade of tribal based opposition Indigenous Nationalist Party of Tripura (INPT) in multiple locations of Barmura and Athuramura hill ranges in Khowai and Dhalai districts on three points demand.
The INPT has also held dawn to dusk rail and national highway blockade at Khamtingbari, Hezamara and Ambassa to attract the attention of the Central government to the demand rolling back of The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill-2016.
The party president B K Hrangkhwal said, “Thousands of out supporters have been joining in the agitation since last night. The administration has provided security and so far the agitation is successful and peaceful. Unless administration provoked we are committed to finish the program peacefully.”
