Initiative taken to increase income of farmers by 2022 : Haryana Min

Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Jai Prakash Dalal has said an initiative has been taken to achieve the objective of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to increase the income of farmers by 2022.
In a statement here on Thursday, Mr Dalal said soil health cards are being issued to farmers to maintain fertility of the land. A scheme has also been launched to provide machinery on up to 80 per cent subsidy for crop residue management.
The Minister said in order to prevent air pollution and to save depleting soil fertility, the state government has focused on crop residue management. In view of this, the department has sought online applications from group of farmers and individual farmers from August 7 to 17 for crop residue management scheme 2020-21 to provide stubble management machinery and to set up Custom Hiring Centres in the State. This is being done so that subsidies can be issued for purchasing residue management equipment before paddy harvesting season from October 1 to 15.
