Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 23 2016 11:44AM Infant selling racket busted in TN, Doc among six heldMadurai, Jun 23 (UNI) Police have arrested six persons, including a woman doctor for attempting to sell a male infant born out of illicit relationship at an exorbitant price in the city. The woman doctor R.Shanthi (47), her husband P.Rajasekaran (53), R.Prabhakaran (48) his wife P.Padmavathi (45), Chithra Bai (63), who is running a orphanage and her staff M.Kavitha (37) were booked for human trafficking under Section 370 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and also under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act, 2015, police said today. Acting on specific information, a police team laid a trap and arrested Kavitha, who demanded Rs 2.5 lakh for the male infant.
