Indonesia Open: Sindhu, Srikanth advance to round 2

Jakarta, Jul 17 (UNI) India's star shuttlers PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth on Wednesday advanced to the second round of the 1,250,000 dollar Indonesia Open BWF World Tour Super 1000 tournament winning their respective opening-round matches.
In the women's singles, Sindhu lost the opening game 11-21 against Japan's Aya Ohori, but came back strongly edging out her rival in the next two games 21-15, 21-15 in a match that lasted almost an hour.
Another Indian and world no 9 Kidambi Srikanth found it relatively easy as he went past Japan's Kenta Nishimoto 21-14, 21-13 in the men's singles event, contest that lasted for 38 minutes, while in another match Prannoy Kumar crashed out of the tournament after losing to world number 2 Shi Yuqi 21-19, 18-21, 20-22.
