Indo-Singapore bilateral defence exercise commences in Central Command

Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Opening ceremony for the 12th Indo-Singapore Bilateral Exercise BOLD KURUKSHETRA-2019 was held on Sunday at Babina Military Station.

Contingents of both the participating nations came together for the Opening Ceremony, a defence press statement here said.

The aim of the Exercise is to attain high level of interoperability between the two armies through mutual understanding and familiarisation with each other’s operational procedures and equipment.

The parade was commanded by respective Contingent Commanders i.e. Colonel SP Singh, Commanding Officer of the GUARDS Unit participating from India and Lieutenant Colonel Tang Chong Kiat, Commanding Officer of 42 Singapore Armoured Regiment.
Brigadier Ranjan Keron, one of the Commanders in the White Tiger Division reviewed the parade during the Opening Ceremony.

The Chief Guest addressed the contingent and welcomed the Singapore Army for the Bilateral Exercise. The members of both the participating nations interacted and familiarised with each other after the Opening Ceremony.
The Opening Ceremony of Exercise BOLD KURUKSHETRA – 2019 was carried out in all its Military grandeur.
