Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain on Wednesday said that the Indian Railway was laying 20-23 kms new Railway track every day on the lines of National Highways.
Speaking after laying foundation stones for infrastructure development and passengers amenities works at different places in Telangana, dedication of Electronic Passengers Guidance Systems at Malkajgiri Railway station, dedicating third Railwayline in Manchiryal-Paddampet Section to Nation and flagging of Train No 11206 Weekly Express, extended from Nizamabad to Karimnagar at a programme held at Secunderabad Railway Station, Mr Rajen said that the BJP-led NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken up infrastructure and passengers amenities development in a big way in the Railway during the last four years.
Today’s laying foundation stones and among others projects are as part of it, he said.
