Indian-made foreign liquor seized in Kolhapur, 1 held

Kolhapur, Oct 17 (UNI) The Rural Police on Sunday seized Indian-made foreign liquor from a van, collectively worth nearly Rs 5.70 lakh, at Vannur Phata on Kagal-Sidhnerli road in Kagal tehsil of the district while allegedly being smuggled into Maharashtra from neighbouring Goa and arrested one person in this connection.
Acting on a tip off, a team of Karveer police stopped a van at Vannur Phata on Kagal-Sidhnerli road this evening.
The search of the vehicle led to seizure of IMFL that was being smuggled into Maharashtra from Goa and also the van collectively worth Rs 5,69,910.
