Indian Army to launch inaugural season of Krishna Ghati Premier League from Dec 16

Jammu, Dec 1 (UNI) The Nangi Tekri Battalion under the aegis of the esteemed Krishna Ghati Brigade, is set to launch the inaugural season of the Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) for 2024-2025.
The pioneering cricket tournament promises not only to captivate the sporting community but also to serve as a tribute to the indomitable courage and patriotism of the region's heroes.
"The tournament will take place in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, specifically in the culturally rich and strategically significant areas of Poonch, Surankote, and Rajouri. With a cash prize pool of Rs 8 Lakhs, KGPL 2024-2025 is expected to become one of the most anticipated and talked-about cricket leagues in the region, inspiring the youth and bringing communities together through the shared love of sport," Jammu based Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Suneel Bartwal said.
