Indian army celebrates Swarnim Vijay Varsh

Amritsar, Feb 25 (UNI) To celebrate the Swarnim Vijay Varsh commemorating the military victory of India over Pakistan in the Indo-Pak war of 1971, Swarnim Vijay Mashaal being carried to various parts of India had reached Vajra Corps area of responsibility on February 1, 2021.
The Swarnim Vijay Mashaal made its journey through Ferozpur and Hussainiwala sectors and arrived at the holy city of Amritsar (Panther Division) on February 24.
Panther Division General Officer Commanding Major General Raju Baijal Thursday paid homage to the brave soldiers of 1971 war at Dograi War Memorial, Khasa Military station. It was followed by a felicitation ceremony wherein a cultural programme comprising bhangra by college students, Army Pipe Band display and patriotic songs were sung by Army Jazz Band.
