The official said that all the houses have to be connected in the next five years to the Jal Jeevan Mission, under which about 3.20 crore connections every year and on an average 88 thousandconnections are to be given every day.
The government says that there is no shortage of money for this scheme and more than Rs eight thousand crore have been made available to the states and union territories during the last three months.
