Mr Anand Sharma said that demonetisaiton led to destruction of small nd medium scale industries, he said,’’most industrial clusters closed down due to demonetization.’’
Seeking to refute the claim by the Governemt that demonetization was aimed at removing fake currency, Mr Sharma said,’’within two weeks after demonetisation was announced, fake currencies of Rs 2000 were caught from different parts of the country. Clearly demonetisation has failed in addressing the issue of fake currency. It is also to be noted that many who were caught with fake currency of Rs 2000 belonged to the BJP.’’
He said that demonetisation tarnished the image of India globally.
