Speaking on the occasion, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala said, ''as Modi Government completes four years, the theme is clear – 132 crore people of India stand betrayed, India betrayed. Modi Ji promised the moon and delivered nothing.
Four years of Modi Government have been a story of betrayal, of deception, of duplicity and of deceiving the people of this country. That is the theme that Congressmen and Congresswomen, leaders and workers will observe across India on 26th May through ‘Dharnas’, through ‘Pradarshan’ both on District Hdqrs. as also at State level.''
Charging PM Modi of betraying various sections of society including the farmers, the youth, the dalits and tribals, Mr Surjewala said, ''Modi Ji said that he will change the life of farmers by giving them cost plus 50 per cent but farmers today stands at cross roads and is driven to suicide. There is no remunerative price for the crop and there is no export of agri-commodities, agri-growth has actually gone down. Is it not betrayal of India’s farmers?
