Entebbe, Uganda, Feb 22 (UNI) India and Uganda are ready to boost their bilateral ties by extending their cooperation in different fields, including Space, atomic energy and vocational training. President of Uganda Yoweri Kauta Museveni and Vice President Hamid Ansari today said this in a joint statement, just after the closed door meeting between the two leaders at the 'State House' came to an end. The State House at Entebbe is the official residence of the President of Uganda, at least 37 km southwest of the Ugandan Capital, Kampala on a Lake Victoria peninsula. It was once the seat of government for the Protectorate of Uganda, prior to the independence in 1962. The Ugandan President said India and Uganda have enjoyed a good relationship for a long time and both are willing to move forward in different sectors, including space, peaceful use of atomic energy, defence, dairy and infrastructure and information technology. Dr Ansari said there are a number of sectors, where both the countries can co-operate with each other for mutual benefit. India is also willing to co-operate with Uganda in the field of Vocational training for skill development, so that Ugandan people could get employments. More UNI SKT RJ 2152
