Dharamsala, Dec 9 (UNI) India who take on Sri Lanka in three ODI series will play their first match here at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium on Sunday will be looking to whitewash the series and overtake South Africa to claim top spot in ODI Rankings table.
India and South Africa have 120 points each on ICC ODI Team Rankings table. If India wins the first ODI they will overake Proteas by a point, however, to maintain lead the hosts need to win two matches.
If India win Dharamsala ODI, they will edge South Africa on decimal points but wins in Mohali and Visakakhapatnam will ensure them top spot since Sri Lanka are eighth on the table with 83 points.
