New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the United Nations General Assembly on its 75th anniversary on Saturday as incredible speech, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that India will continue to raise its voice against the enemies of humanity, human race and human values”.
Taking to twitter, he said "As a follower of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', India has always stood for peace, security and prosperity of the globe. And under the decisive leadership of PM @NarendraModi, India will continue to raise its voice against the enemies of humanity, human race and human values”.
"It has perfectly reflected the sentiments and aspirations of 130 cr Indians and with PM Modi’s mantra of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform’, India has seen a tremendous change in the lives of millions in last six years", Mr Shah further said in his tweet message.
“Effective reforms in the United Nations is a dire need of the hour. PM@NarendraModi mentioned, India's path is from human welfare to the welfare of the world. As the world's largest democracy and flagbearer of peace, it is time for India to play a decisive role in @UN”, the Home Minister said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed the United Nation General Assembly on its 75th anniversary and pushed for the reforms in the global body.
"Reform is needed at the United Nations and India is waiting for that reform," the Prime Minister said.
"Till when do we have to wait? Till when will India be kept away from the UN's decision-making process?" he asked and reminded the UN that 130 crore Indians still believed in its ideals, but said the global body needed to adapt and change to stay relevant in current times.
