Shimla, May 19 (UNI) At the age of 102, India's first voter Shyam Saran Negi on Sunday pressed the EVM button in Kinnuar district exercising his franchise for the 37th time.
Mr Negi, who is a retired teacher, was escorted by Naib-Tehsildar and Sports Officer Kinnaur on behalf of the Election Commission in a special vehicle from his Kalpa Chini heritage village to Kalpa polling booth.
At the Model Polling Station polling booth, he was given a red carpet welcome by the Deputy Commissioner and District election Officer Gopal Chand by presenting him a white silk scarf.
