New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) India on Friday late evening outright rejected Pakistan charge for
the terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi in November 2018 and said Islamabad needs to "look inwards and undertake credible action against support to terrorism".
"We have seen statements in Pakistani media attributed to the Police chief of Karachi making false allegations against India for the terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi in
November 2018," MEA spokesman said in reply to a question.
"We completely reject these fabricated and scurrilous attempts to levy accusations on India," the spokesman said and maintained that instead of maliciously pointing fingers at others
for such terrorist incidents, "Pakistan needs to look inwards and undertake credible action against support to terrorism and terror infrastructure in its territories".
Pakistan on Friday made the sensational claim that the attack on a Chinese consulate in Karachi in November last year was carried out with the assistance of Indian intelligence agency.
Karachi city police chief Dr Amir Shaikh said Friday that investigations made in the attack that took place on November 23 last year were carried out by five terrorists with the support of Indian agency.
Earlier in the day, MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters here that there is no seriousness in Pakistan's repeated reference or offer for talks.
"Agar Pakistan baat chit ke liye tayar hae to unke taraf se Mumbai aur Pathankot terrorists attacks ke terrorists, unke khilaf abhi tak koi action kyo nahi liya gaya (If Pakistan is serious about talks as they say, why so far no action against those terrorists who were responsible for Mumbai and Pathankot terror attacks)," he said.
Posing a few questions for the Imran Khan government and authorities in Pakistan, the spokesman further said, "If they are really serious about talks, why they are allowing their own territories to be used by terrorists and terror groups".
