India opts for indoor practice as rain plays spoilsport

Ranchi, Oct 6 (UNI) Team India opted for an indoor practice session for the second consecutive day on Friday as their practice pitches were washed out due to the continuous heavy rains.

Earlier yesterday, the home side had to call of their practices due to the heavy showers in the evening. Today, the team reached the iconic Jharkhand States Cricket Association (JSCA) stadium at 1330 hrs however, before that it started drizzling and later gained pace following which covers were put on the ground.

The team waited for the weather to clear out to practice on the ground but as luck would have it few of them started playing football at players enclosure itself after which the team management decided to opt for indoor practice.

With the local weather office predicting more rainfall tomorrow, it remains interesting to be seen whether the game commences on time.
