New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) India's ace shuttler P V Sindhu went down to Beiwen Zhang of US in the finals of the India Open Badminton tournament in the women's singles event here on Sunday, settling for silver.
Beiwen Zhang, saved a match point before beating the defending champion 21-18, 11-21, 22-20 finishing the game in an hour and 69 minutes to clinch her maiden India Open title.
Throughout the match, Beiwen with her smashes did not gave any chance for Sindhu to settle. The US player gained a lead in the first game and countered Sindhu's net play.
