A handful of newly-built domestic and international terminals showcased the country’s capabilities and strength in the sphere. Bringing in P.P.P. mode, premier terminals and runways were created in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and New Delhi in the recent past.
Last year, the B.J.P.-led N.D.A. government gave the nod for 18 more airports. The Civil Aviation Ministry cleared the greenfield projects aimed at easing congestion at airports, particularly in metropolitan cities.
