New Delhi, Nov 12 (UNI) Aiming to contain menace of terrorists funding, India and Morocco on Monday inked pact on Mutual Legal Assistance (MLA) in criminal matters here.
The agreement was signed by Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju from the Indian side while Minister of Justice Mohamed Aujjar signed on behalf of the Morocco government.
The Agreement will strengthen bilateral cooperation with Morocco and enhance effectiveness and provide a broad legal framework for prevention, investigation and prosecution of crimes as well as in tracing, restraint and confiscation of funds meant to finance terrorist acts, an official said.
Also, both the ministers reiterated their resolve to jointly counter the threats posed by organized crime and terrorism.
