New Delhi, Apr 4 (UNI) India on Thursday said it is 'engaged' with the United States on the issue of waiver for buyers of Iranian oil and maintained that as of now it will adopt the policy of wait and watch.
"We are engaging with the United States. The waiver lapses on May 4. Let us see what happens," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar told reporters here.
India’s purchase of Iranian crude oil has reportedly figured in parleys between Indian and the US during the Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale's three-day visit to the US in March.
