India is a country of rishi tradition: Vice President

Chitrakoot (UP), Sep 7 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday said that today the opposition people are ignoring the Rishi Tradition of India due to their political interests, which does not seem appropriate in any way.
While inaugurating the three-day international seminar on the topic 'Rishi Tradition in Modern Life' at Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University in Chitrakoot, the Vice President said that India is a country of Rishi Tradition. "This is the reason why our country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to take this tradition forward," he said.
He said that war can never be won with weapons. "Our country is standing in the category of Vishwa Guru today only because of the Rishi Tradition," he said.
The VP said that it is on the strength of the Rishi Tradition that we are moving ahead in every field of India, land, water and sky. "The tradition of our country has been Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. To solve the problems, our country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is following the Rishi tradition," he said.
He said, "It is said that war is not the solution to any problem. Even today, if you look around, Rishi tradition is respected only in our country. India, a country rich in cultural heritage, has always been incomparable. It is the need of the hour to follow the basic principles of Rishi tradition."
Dhankar said that the austerity land of Lord Shri Ram, will definitely prove to be a new direction for all. "Because this seminar is being organised in the presence of Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Maharaj, a great sage honoured with Padma Vibhushan," he said.
The Vice President has come to Chitrakoot with his wife to invite Jagadguru Rambhadracharya to come to Delhi and stay for a day at the newly built VP's House.
Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj, who was presiding over the programme, said that he is Triveni and President Draupadi Murmu considers him as her elder brother, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is his friend and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar is his brother.
