Berlin, Jan 29 (UNI) India had improved its 2018 corruption index rank according to the latest report published by the Transparency international on Tuesday. The report also points out decline in the US and China rankings.
The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) which is published annually by Transparency International released its 2018 report comprising of 180 countries across the world.The index uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. More than two-thirds of countries score below 50 on this year’s CPI, with an average score of just 43.
India scored marginal improvement from last year score. It got 41 CPI score in 2018 compared to 40 in 2017.
